Day 1 (Lunch) You will be collected from your Darwin
accommodation at approximately 7.00 am and then our adventure begins
as we travel towards Litchfield National Park. A pleasant 90 minute
drive south of Darwin, we view the Magnetic and Cathedral Termite
mounds, an amazing architectural feat containing arches, tunnels,
chimneys. They are plentiful in this region and can stand as high
as 6 metres. Once we arrive you will explore waterfalls, spring-fed
streams and the rugged sandstone escarpments of Litchfield National
Park. Swim, hike and explore Florence and Wangi Falls*.
Enjoy a tasty BBQ lunch within the park and discover
the many rock holes and cascading waterfalls of Buley Rockhole before
our early evening arrival back in Darwin.

BBQ Lunch Termite Mounds
Our four 15 seat and one 17 seat, 4 litre Intercooled Turbo Mitsubishi
Canters are purpose built with a pod that carries 12 and 14 passengers
respectively with the driver and 2 passengers seated in the cab.
They are fully air conditioned with reclining seats, footrests,
luggage storage area and kitchen space complete with a 100 litre
fridge. They can carry 210 litres of fuel, 120 litres of water and
come with window tinting, bull bars, spot lights and are built for
the bush! Or similar vehicle.
Maximum Walks: Hikes up to 6-8kms per day. A reasonable level of
fitness is required as there will be some walking to view places
of interest. Suitable for soft adventures with a passion for bushwalking
and exploring. Passengers must be fit and active.

Note: Due to limited space on the vehicle please
restrict luggage to a day pack and one soft overnight bag/backpack
Professional guide, travel in an air-conditioned minibus, BBQ lunch,
and drinking water (please provide your own bottle).
Itinerary may change due to cultural reasons,

Safari is not suitable for children under 5 years
*Wangi Falls can close during the Tropical wet
season and will be substituted during this time.
Please be dressed in comfortable walking clothing
and footwear, have a water bottle and hat with sunscreen when boarding

luggage to a day pack (maximum 10kg). Excess luggage should be stored
at your accommodation.

are have any special dietary needs or allergies, please contact
us to discuss this at time of booking as you may need to provide
your own supplementary food/ snacks depending on your specific dietary
need or allergy.

Australia where certain foods are not easily available and therefore
cannot accommodate all dietary requests. At times, produce and products
may be substituted as supply dictates and Wayoutback cannot guarantee
the ingredients contained in these alternatives. Whilst all of our
guides are trained in remote touring, they are not nutritionists
and neither they nor Wayoutback Australian Safaris can advise of
all ingredients contained in each food served on tour and are not
responsible should an allergic reaction occur.
