Looking for a comfort in a medium adventure tour with like minded
folks then this is the trip.
Very small group maximum 6 poeople.
Day 1: (Lunch*/Dinner)
Departing Alice Springs at 2pm, we leave the tar and hit the dirt
travelling directly to Kings Canyon via the four wheel drive Ernst
Giles Road, visiting varying sights along the way. On arrival at
Kings Canyon Resort, check in to your 4 star hotel room and, time
permitting, we will enjoy a sparkling wine with a selection of canapιs
whilst watching the amazing sunset on Carmichael Crag at the western
end of Kings Canyon. Tonight, enjoy a sumptuous dinner at the Resort's
restaurant.

Day 2: (Breakfast / Lunch / Dinner)
Following breakfast we take a short drive to Kings Canyon for an
early guided walk. The Rim Walk is botanically and spiritually rich,
combined with astounding scenery such as the buttressed domes that
surround the Amphitheatre, the Lost City and Garden of Eden. The
walk takes approximately 3 hours requiring a good fitness level
and for those wanting a softer option, there is the shorter and
easier Kings Creek walk leading into the centre of the Canyon.
Following the walk we make our way to Uluru-Kata Tjuta National
Park, stopping at Willonga Well for lunch under the shade of mighty
Desert Oaks with perhaps a glass or two of wine. On arrival at the
National Park, it's a good time to stretch the legs at Kata Tjuta
with the Walpa Gorge 'Windy Gully' walk, suitable for most fitness
levels. Returning to the hotel, there's time to prepare for the
evening activities and for those partaking the Sounds of Silence
Dinner (additional expense), you'll be picked up from the hotel
while the rest of us find a remote location to observe the famous
changing colours of Uluru and Kata Tjuta at sunset, accompanied
with canapιs and wine or cool refreshments. After sunset we return
to the hotel for a beautiful 3 course dinner and chat about the
day's events.
Kings Canyon Kata Tjuta Uluru Sunset Optional Sounds of
Silence
Day 3: (Breakfast / Lunch)
We depart the Resort under darkness to a remote location to witness
sunrise over the mighty monolith of Uluru and the domes of Kata
Tjuta. Guests electing to climb Uluru will be given a breakfast
box and taken directly to the base to commence their 2 - 2.5 hour
climb (weather permitting) while those not climbing will return
to the hotel for breakfast. Anangu discourage people from climbing
Uluru.
We will rendezvous with guests that climbed Uluru to experience
the wonderful walks around the base, learning of the creation myths
and fascinating geology of Uluru. For those departing from the Ayers
Rock Airport / Resort, your guide will deliver you by 12.30pm and
for those returning to Alice Springs, we commence our journey back,
stopping at Curtin Springs Station for a typical Aussie BBQ lunch.
We will return you to your hotel at approximately 5.30pm after three
days of stunning beauty and adventure.

casual clothing for 3 days.

4WD vehicle, all meals (as listed on itineraries), all snacks and
wine with lunches, restaurant breakfasts (buffet) and dinners and
a mixture of picnic and restaurant lunches. Hotel accommodation

are have any special dietary needs or allergies, please contact
us to discuss this at time of booking as you may need to provide
your own supplementary food/ snacks depending on your specific dietary

foods are not easily available and therefore cannot accommodate
all dietary requests. At times, produce and products may be substituted
as supply dictates and Wayoutback cannot guarantee the ingredients
contained in these alternatives. Whilst all of our guides are trained
in remote touring, they are not nutritionists and neither they nor
Wayoutback Australian Safaris can advise of all ingredients contained
in each food served on tour and are not responsible should an allergic
reaction occur.

Travel Insurance - Travel Insurance is highly recommended .
Travel insurance is compulsory for all international travellers
and should be taken out at the time of booking. We recommend Australian
citizens take out a domestic travel insurance policy which covers
personal liability, cancellation, curtailment and loss of luggage
and personal effects. Travel Insurance is compulsory for all travellers.
This clause is included as a duty of care to protect our travellers
and all levels of the travel distribution chain, but excludes those
nationals of countries where local law prohibits a compulsory service
that is not included in the tour price. Whilst Travel Insurance
is strongly recommended for these nationals, we will not apply these
booking conditions where law prohibits it. However, all travellers
will be expected to sign a waiver before commencing their tour acknowledging
that they are aware of the increased risks associated with Adventure
Travel and that they understand that Wayoutback will not be held
responsible for any loss, damage, delay, accident or injury sustained
whilst on tour with us.

The default pick up point is where we will meet you for your tour,
unless you or your travel agent requests an alternative location
(contact our Reservations team for more information). It is your
responsibility to contact us with your preferred pick up point well
ahead of departure. We do not take responsibility for missed tours
if we have not been advised of an alternative in advance and you
are not at the default location on time.

A STRICT luggage limit of day pack only 10kg applies. Please limit
to one small to medium sized soft bag or backpack and a small daypack,
which can be carried inside the vehicle.
Fitness Level:2 out of 5: Two and three day trips
that include easy walking.. Minimal physical exertion required.
Maximum Walks: Hikes up to 6-8kms per day. A reasonable level of
fitness is required as there will be some walking to view places
of interest. Suitable for soft adventures with a passion for bushwalking
and exploring. Passengers must be fit and active.
Please note: there is climbing over rocks and small let's say 1.5m
or higher rocks along the 900m path to the plunge pool. You can
sit that out if you wish. Ask us for details. Example of the walk..
