This is one of those spots that has always been popular with the locals but not so well known by the tourists. Just up the track from Douglas Hot springs on the Daly River System, this gorge is right away from every thing and has spectacular scenery. Lots of deep cool pools and tall chasms. It's a great way to get away from it all.

 

Kakadu National Park is a World Heritage Listed Park featuring many spectacular attraction including the majestic Jim Jim Falls. Access to the falls is by 4WD vehicle only and is a popular attration on our Kakadu Tours.

This area is situated in the southern end of Kakadu and only a few companies are permitted access into this region. It is an extremely sensitive area consisting of beautiful waterfalls, plungepools and magnificent lookouts. You can easily spend a full day hiking in this region and you can refresh yourself frequently in escarpment pools set amongst some of Kakadu's most spectacular scenery.

Nourlangie Rock is a spectacular area featuring magnificent Aboriginal Artsites along with walking tracks, billabongs and lookout areas. This area is very popular with all visitors to Kakadu National Park and our guides are well trained to help inform you about Aboriginal lifestyle and culture.

Ubirr Rock is located in the North-East section of Kakadu.This region is situated on the borderline of 3 differnt habitats and is extremely rich in wildlife. It is also an area that is extremely rich in Aboriginal Rockart with some sites possibly dating back tens of thousands of years. The artsites in this area are magnificent and are probably some of the most detailed paintings that you will see on your tour in Kakadu.

Barramundi Gorge is a great place to visit and relax. Set on the edge of the escarpment we know you will enjoy your time swimming in the clear, cool water of this beautiful area.

If you have time whilst in Darwin, you should take the opportunity to explore the beautiful Litchfield National Park. The gorge has been carved deeply through surrounding sandstone escarpment by the Katherine River over millions of years.
